Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 10:46 pmmy friend jones writes a web comic, it's one of the very best, most colourful and enjoyable ones that I know of and I have a big list... there's a lot of webcomics that are fantastic reads and more engaging than the shit you find in stores even and Helvetica is one of them. You should be reading it. Read it now. If you like loveable characters you get attached to right away and an intriguing world lore that spices it all up you want to read it. It's also got this... neo-noir mystery element... it's just really well written, read it. It's adorable. Just do it.

I can't wait to get Luke and Leia, and then god willing Darth Vader so I can have all threeeeeeeee speaking of Star Wars the livestream today was sick and there was an incredible recap of Star Wars: Rebels which was written INCREDIBLY well, oh my god that show is unreal, it's so epic and I love how canonically appropriate it is, it takes place around the founding of the rebel alliance and it's fantastic. I actually only began caring about it after I read the comic written by Greg Weisman(GARGOYLES!) about Kanan- who, incidentally, was the last padawan ever trained by the Jedis until they were all killed- and the Rebels series is about a grown-up Kanan leading the tiny rebel force as it first began. Kanan's uncle-y alien fellow Kasmir is really awesome *_*
The grumps playthrough of King's Quest is fucking incredible, that game IS AMAZING IT'S LIKE PLAYING AN ANIMATED FILM.

fiji water is the best water
Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 01:17 amother water taste gross. I don't trust the pipes in this 1902-old building to not be silty and lead filled. So I drink Fiji which I refer to affectionately as "feej"
"feej" is delicious and sweet the way a crisp stream in a lush forest would be if I was dying and stranded. It heals my wounds. The bottle even fits in my hands better. I began sipping water casually thanks to feej, it has made me a healthier individual and thankfully the recycling programs in Vancouver are so top-notch I can recycle ANYWHERE! named for the country it is from, it collected from rainwater and purified.
people laugh at me for buying bottled water but like... you can take it anywhere, you're always sipping on water which is good for your body and your teeth, and the bottle is quite attractive
this is my love letter to feej, ilu feej

daaaaaang I accidentally deleted my tumblr
Monday, August 24th, 2015 11:44 pmexplanation: I was pruning old dead tumblr alts, and accidentally killed my main one. Hahaha. That's a lot of history gone. BUT as I freaked out a little and my face turned red hot, I realized that I couldn't really find any true reason why I gave a damn. I moan about tumblr all the time, and I never really used it at all anymore but for reblogging pretty photos, and it's useless for communicating and comments of course. It's just useless for anything but the core "here's a nice pic, let me reblog it"
I use stuff like pinterest for inspiration and photos, now. I use twitter as my main communication tool. I don't need tumblr for anything but reblogging shit, what I need is a blog I can post stuff on and check up on my friends blogs. Dreamwidth seems to do this extremely simply.
Maybe we can all do that, too. I don't mean deleting tumblr, but... returning to a simpler time where communication was the main deal, with comments and tags and stuff. Make a dreamwidth, and let's all add eachother!!
we even have moderated join-only communities, so that'll be nice for collective private posts. What say you guys?? RISE LIKE THE PHOENIX

Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 12:20 am I want to spark a bit of an exodus to dreamwidth(instead of say, livejournal, since it's hackerfood right now lol) and because I miss a few very important things tumblr doesn't have.
I miss the control over your privacy. You can control who sees your private posts, or if your posts are public or private, and same with communities with friends, where you can look up their comments.
So I'm going to try and start updating this instead of tumblr, for a trial that might stick! I invite you to please join me!! comment with who you are!!
I miss the discussion, not just in communities but on posts. There's no discourse on tumblr and it's stupid. We've asked for it for years but nobody's done it. I miss discussing episodes with friends, and acquaintances, and some people that I haven't met that i can make friends with. Making friends was so easy!
